Shoalhaven NSW South Coast

Shoalhaven and Jervis Bay remains one of my all time favorite destinations in NSW. Home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia with whitehaven beach style sand, Jervis Bay and the surrounding areas are an easy getaway from Sydney with loads to do.

Trip can be condensed or expanded to suit your needs, we will cover a range of things to do and places to visit, the rest is up to you.

Beecroft Peninsula

Got a spare day? Head north east to the Beecroft Peninsula. Note that the majority of the peninsula forms part of the Beecroft Weapons Range, which is owned and occupied by the Royal Australian Navy. It can be closed sometimes for weapons training (I believe just on weekdays), but you can call the environmental rangers on 4448 3411 to check if it’s open.

  • Point Perpendicular
  • Abrahams Bosom Beach
  • The many walking trails

Honeymoon Bay Campsite

Honeymoon Bay is set in a picturesque location in Jervis Bay. It is approximately 10 kilometres from the edge of Currarong along the Point Perpendicular Lighthouse Road. Honeymoon Bay is a small sheltered bay to spend a day by the beach, snorkel and paddle in the sea.

Available on most weekends on a first come, first served basis. Recommend arriving Friday around 12:30pm to avoid the line and secure a good spot. Once you arrive, head to the Information Centre and go through the booking
process. There is no online booking. Take cash, there is no Eftpos and payment is by cash only.

Note: Campfires not allowed, unpowered sites, no drinking water available.
Cost: $15 Per site for 2 people.
Facilities: Toilets and bins

Kangaroo Valley

Finishing up in Jervis bay and have a day or two spare? Head north west to the Beautiful Kangaroo Valley. With beautiful morning mists, a patchwork of farmland and Australia’s last surviving wooden suspension bridge there’s something quite magical about Kangaroo Valley. Go kayaking, bushwalk to stunning waterfalls and uncover top foodie experiences.
